CONFERENCE ON S.E.T.I. AT THE ROYAL SOCIETY

On March 10, my friend Dr. Albert Harrison, wrote me a brief message telling me about his participation in an activity I was not aware of before.

He wrote:

“I made a presentation to the British Royal Society in January when they staged a meeting on the societal implications of SETI. This was one of 10 or 11 discussion meetings to help celebrate the Society's 350th birthday. I am attaching a flyer.”

The official title of the conference was: "The detection of extra-terrestrial life and the consequences for science and society".

I have found in the British publication “The Guardian” a good article dealing with that meeting.
