EDWARD SNOWDEN: THE CONSPIRACIES THEORIES ARE NOT TRUE

Reproduced by various media outlets, here is the text referred to a book entitled “Permanent Record” that Snowden has written.

PSA [Public Service Announcement] for all the Area 51 stormers and chemtrail believers and climate-change deniers: Edward Snowden has searched the depths of the U.S. intelligence networks and can report the conspiracy theories are not true.

As a former employee of the CIA and contractor for the National Security Agency, Snowden had access to some of the nation’s most closely held secrets.

And, like any curious mind with access to the CIA’s version of Google might do, he went in search of answers to some of society’s most pressing questions.

As it turns out, the U.S. government is not aware of any intelligent, extraterrestrial life, he says.

“For the record, as far as I could tell, aliens have never contacted Earth, or at least they haven’t contacted US intelligence,” Snowden writes in his recent memoir, “Permanent Record.”

Also, the moon landing did indeed occur.

“In case you were wondering: Yes, man really did land on the moon. Climate change is real. Chemtrails are not a thing,” he adds.

The Adaptable Lighter Than Air (ALTA) balloons are designed to navigate through winds by changing altitude. (DARPA)

In the sky above Kansas City drifted unknown floating objects peculiar enough that the National Weather Service felt compelled to tweet, “We honestly have no explanation for the floating objects over Kansas City,” along with a blurry picture of two orbs set above the clouds. As much as the internet delighted in projecting extraterrestrial mischief onto the sight, the truth was out there, and both more and less than it seemed: The objects above Kansas City were a DARPA project.

The “Adaptable Lighter Than Air” program, or ALTA, seeks to develop and demonstrate high-altitude lighter-than-air vehicles that can navigate by the wind over extended ranges. “High-altitude” here is defined as above 75,000 feet. The balloons will rely entirely on the varied winds above, and while they do not have propulsion of their own, they can adjust altitude to catch winds in different directions.

DARPA launched three ALTA balloons from Cumberland, Maryland, on June 18, 2019, and confirmed that it was, in fact, their balloons spotted above Kansas City June 20. Asked if DARPA was tracking the balloons, the agency said that the ALTA balloon flights are coordinated with the FAA starting weeks before launch and the ALTA team is in regular communication with the FAA.

“The balloons are controlled from fixed and mobile ground stations, with consistent point-to-point links and satellite relays,” said Dr. Alexander M.G. Walan, ALTA program manager, noting that the craft have sensors on board used to assess flight performance. In addition, the vehicles are distinct from weather balloons because they are larger and capable of navigation.

As part of ALTA, the agency is also developing a sensor to provide real-time stratospheric wind measurements. Outside scientific curiosity, the real test of an entirely wind-borne vessel will be what kinds of payloads can fit on it, and what information they can meaningfully transmit back.

Fitting cheap and useful sensors to expendable vehicles is something the military is already working on, though it’s easy to imagine that the weight constraints on a buoyant balloon will be greater than on a descending glider or a powered drone.

The utility of such a platform hinges greatly on cost and payload. Sensors that could be launched into the wind and reach across the globe could prove useful for providing information of places too dangerous for crewed or unmanned aircraft, and also in areas where satellite coverage is for some reason unavailable.

Wind and balloons are also responsible for one of the strangest intercontinental attacks in history. During World War II, Japan built balloons that carried firebombs and lofted them into the jet stream, where they traveled across the Pacific ocean, sparking the occasional forest fire and in at least one instance reportedly killed a family of civilians.

Nothing about DARPA’s program suggests it will borrow from this history of aggressive ballooning. Instead, the ALTA platform looks like a new way to explore what, exactly, the wind can deliver.

DISSECTING THE U.S. NAVY U.A.P. CASE

As researchers and scholars of the U.A.P. subject, we are always faced with the unavoidable duty to establish the facts, separate the fiction, and report to our colleagues and the general public the results of our work.

These days, a story that started 15 years ago is creating waves of press and internet material, with distorted versions of the reality, just to maintain the “extraterrestrial” myth, for the fun of the “saucerians” and the selling of newspapers, magazines, TV programs and so-called multiple conferences, conventions or congresses.

Economic and political interests are implied in this story, also a cover-up and strategic maneuvers to keep the general public deliberately misinformed.

Our readers deserve respect, honesty and to know the things as they are. And –by the way—have some special information that has been hidden on purpose to maintain the aura of mystery around the whole issue.

Therefore, --after reading and viewing a considerable amount of material— I will put in order the facts, with numerals, so it will be easy to refer to them if you need to do so.

1) "black money".

In its edition of December 16, 2017, The New York Times published an article written by three distinguished enthusiasts of the E.T., Helene Cooper, Ralph Blumenthal and Leslie Kean, the last one author of a book and a clear example of dealing with the subject with naiveté. The interesting thing is the title of the article: Glowing Auras and ‘Black Money’: The Pentagon’s Mysterious U.F.O. Program.

The mention of a “Mysterious U.F.O. Program" is misleading. As we are going to show you later, it was not a program about UFOs.

But they talk about “Black Money”, and this point deserves to be explained and analyzed.

It is usual to qualify as “Black Money” a special type of budget maintained by the Pentagon for classified programs the subject of which is not debated publicly.

Most to be regretful, the law allows members of Congress to receive directly money from many different sources (mainly important companies) to finance their political campaigns. That is the way they can collect millions of dollars. Undoubtedly the campaigns are costly: air trips throughout the United States, acts here and there, and TV spots, interviews, etc.

But this system of support to politicians has its reward for the donors because the politicians –once they are in office-- will try to benefit those donors.

This is the case of Harry Reid, who is an American attorney and politician who served as a United States Senator from Nevada from 1987 to 2017. He led the Senate's Democratic Conference from 2005 to 2017 and was the Senate Majority Leader from 2007 to 2015.

He and two other Senators, both of them deceased, Ted Stevens (R-Alaska) and Daniel Inouye (D-Hawaii) proposed and get approved a fund of 22 million dollars to finance a special project within the Department of Defense, called initially “Advanced Aviation Threat Identification Program” (AATIP) – that later changed its name as “Aerospace Threat”, expanding the potential menace from the air and space environments.

The initiative was launched by the Department of Defense in 2007 and operated from 2008 to 2011. That means that it lasted only 3 years and it was closed 8 years ago.

Harry Reid was inspired and encouraged by his donor, the multimillionaire Robert Bigelow, who owns the hotel chain Budget

Suites of America and is the founder of Bigelow Aerospace that manufactures and develops expandable Space Station modules.

From a total of 22 million dollars approved for AATIP, the vast majority ended with Bigelow, and a small amount was received by the Department of Defense.

This, added to the money now gathered by “To the Stars – Academy of Arts and Science” in its campaign to “finance the investigation”, and by History and Discovery channels with the publicity obtained for their programs, completes the picture of the economic exploitation of this subject.

2 – What AATIP really dealt with?

This program said to be dealing with “UFOs”, was NOT dealing with “extraterrestrial vehicles” but with very possible terrestrial advanced technologies that could represent a danger for the United States.

Before AATIP was the AAWSAP [Advanced Aerospace Weapon System Applications Program].

The NAVY calls them Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAPs), not UFOs, on purpose, to avoid the erroneous association with the idea of “extraterrestrials” so driven from the History and Discovery channels and many videos on YouTube and web pages.

That is why the program dealt with possible crafts operating in the atmosphere (aircraft of any type) or in outer space (satellites).

The genuine preoccupation of the NAVY has been well clarified by Joseph Gradisher, the spokesman for the Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Information Warfare: “Our aviators train as they fight. So when they’re out there training, if there’s an incursion by any kind of aerial vehicle, phenomena, whatever, it puts the safety of our aviators at risk as well as the security of our training operations.”

"Any incursion into our training ranges by any aircraft or phenomena, identified or not identified, is problematic from both a safety and security concern," declared Gradisher to NBC News.

The program also dealt with documents produced by scientists, dealing with theoretical and possible practical methods for space travel.

The titles of those documents speak by themselves:

a) “Traversable Wormholes, Stargates, and Negative Energy”

b) “Warp Drive, Dark Energy and the Manipulation of Extra Dimensions”
c) “Advanced Space Propulsion Based оп Vacuum (Spacetime Metric) Engineering

3 – Who is Luis Elizondo?

Let’s say it clear and once and for all: Mr. Elizondo never worked –less directed- the AATIP program.
As the Pentagon spokesperson declared to journalist Keith Kloor: “Mr. Elizondo had no responsibilities with regard to the AATIP program while he worked in OUSDI [the Office of Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence], up until the time he resigned effective 10/4/2017.”

Greenewald writes in his web page “The Black Vault” that “releases directly to The Black Vault under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) from the DOD further prove Elizondo filed the official paperwork, and communicated directly with the Defense Office of Prepublication and Security Review (DOPSR), the agency that manages all DOD related security reviews of information”

Mr. Elizondo joined the so-called "To the Stars – Academy of Arts and Science” and since then leads a program broadcasted by the History Channel entitled “Unidentified: Inside America's UFO Investigation” in which he has shown repeatedly three videos taken by Navy personnel.

The problem is that he was authorized to have that material but not to release it to the media.

In an article on February 17, 2018, WIRED magazine author Sarah Scoles wrote: “An approval from Defense Office of Prepublication and Security Review (DOPSR) does not equate to public release approval,” says Harris. To release AATIP videos by the book, someone would have had to coordinate with the Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs. So the videos on the To the Stars don’t carry any more weight than the same videos published by the Times.”

The declaration belongs to Ms. Audicia Harris, then spokesperson of the Pentagon.

Summing up, when Mr. Elizondo left the Pentagon he had with him the three over-published videos, and he found employment in the “To the Stars – Academy of Arts and Science”, that invention to make money started by former rock star Tom DeLonge, who stopped his activity as a musician with the group Blink-182.

I would like to personally say a couple of things:

a) it is absolutely out of place that a rock star could become the head of an institution (the so-called "To the Stars Academy of Arts and

Science" TSAAS) dedicated to a serious investigation, study and spreading information about the Unusual Aerial Phenomena. This is a clear demonstration of how low has gone the saucerian movement if we compare it with the time in which APRO and NICAP were leaders in that scope.

Yesterday I saw a documentary made by MUFON about what they call "hot spots" for UFOs (meaning ET activity) in the United States. Places where there is a concentration of UFO reports. Quite frankly, it was deplorable. The people in the current MUFON lack a scientifically-based approach and ignores things that they should know. Essentially, it is not that what they call UFOs appear over the areas where there are geological faults. Those “UFOs” are plasma formations that precisely happen because of the geological faults!

b) Mr. Luis Elizondo didn't work in the AATIP program but was a Department of Defense employee who had –probably—a certain level of Clearance and therefore, access to some classified information.

If he was able to have and keep the videos later shown in as many places as possible, and there were any reprisals against him, it seems to me that he has been allowed by the authorities to do what he is doing.

4 – Those old videos

The first video of the unidentified object was taken on Nov. 14, 2004, and shot by the F-18's gun camera. The second video was taken on
Jan. 21, 2015, and shows another aerial vehicle with pilots commenting on how strange it is. The third video was also taken on Jan. 21, 2015, but it is unclear whether the third video was of the same object or a different one.

Presumably, the second and third videos were taken by the same person.

There is a discussion about the origin of the first video, that one of 15 years ago.

Our Mexican colleague, Engineer Luis Ruiz Noguez, in his webpage “Marcianitos Verdes” (Little green Martians”), under the title “The Pentagon’s UFOs Fiasco” wrote on December 19, 2017:

“The video was actually made by ‘a group of German film students specializing in the creation of science fiction films with many special effects (Vision Unlimited),’ as noted by UFO historian Isaac Koi in late October this year (1917)”
The “Black Vault” reports that Mr. Philip Schneider, manager of “Vision Unlimited,” stated, “We don’t know where the file came from and can only say that it hasn’t been on the server for a long time since,” said Schneider. “Because the case is so strange, we also wanted to investigate. But quickly this showed to be fruitless because the file was on an old server and all data (LOGs etc.) are no longer available. I’ve also talked to former employees who had access to the server, but no one could tell me anything about it.”

Mr. George Gradisher told The Black Vault, “…in consultation with Navy law enforcement personnel, [the Navy] decided not to pursue the matter. Given the time since recording (approximately 5 years), the widespread distribution of the recording within the ship at the time of recording, and the size of the crew at the time (approximately 5,000), it was determined that there was no way to accurately determine who might have released the video.”

Mr. John Greenewald of “The Black Vault” adds: "Although no action was taken on the original 2007 leak, the Navy and the Pentagon have both issued statements to The Black Vault asserting that not only the “FLIR1,” but also other UAP related videos known as the “Gimbal” and “Go Fast” were not cleared for public release. This means that all three videos, which the Navy does officially acknowledge depict UAPs, are all considered “leaks” and not official releases. When asked specifically about the 2017 and 2018 leaks of the “Gimbal” and “GoFast” videos, Gradisher stated, “With respect to the other 2 videos cited, the Navy has no information on how they were released into general circulation.”
5 – The cover-up

I wonder why videos taken 15 and 4 years ago are making such a noise. But it's not about the videos themselves which are not extraordinary for what they show.

The main thing is the official recognition of those videos by the U.S. Navy, and that the Pentagon has had a program called AATIP, erroneously associated by the press as dealing with UFOs (in the sense of ET ships), an association that Mr. Elizondo is in charge to do it through his program “Unidentified: Inside America's UFO Investigation” in the History Channel.
There is another person, Mr. Nick Karnaze, a former Intelligence Officer with Marine Corps Special Operations Command (MARSOC), who runs a program named “Contact” in the Discovery Channel, who also deals with the subject and has also used those videos, like the rest of media outlets.

But this is confined to the United States and these Channels.

Other TV outlets referred to the issue when “The New York Times” and “The Washington Post”, published initially pictures of the videos in their pages, but didn’t continue dealing with this subject because there is a political turmoil around President Donald Trump and the Democratic presidential pre-candidate Joseph Biden, that concentrate all the attention.

Once again –as it happened throughout all the history of the UFO subject—everything starts in the U.S. and happens in the U.S., and the pertinent question is: why?

Let me share that I am more than surprised by the ignorance of the Navy pilots about what their nation is doing on hypersonic flight.

They declared that the speed of what they saw was hypersonic.

Well, apparently they are not informed that Lockheed-Martin received

a multimillion contract for the development of a hypersonic glider. And that Raytheon Company has received a contract from the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) to further develop the tactical boost-glide (TBG) hypersonic weapons program.

The very significant thing is that Navy pilots reported to their superiors that the objects had no visible engine or infrared exhaust plumes, but that they could reach 30,000 feet and hypersonic speeds.

And those are precisely the characteristics expected in a hypersonic glider.

The glider is boosted by a hypersonic rocket until it separates from the rocket and goes on up and down at that terrible speed without any engine.

Obviously, they have to be tested every day because they are in the experimental phase.

“The strange objects, one of them like a spinning top moving against the wind, appeared almost daily from the summer of 2014 to March 2015 declared Lieutenant Ryan Graves.

It is fair to say that if those things were intruders, the United States had enough time to get to know what they were and who they sent there.

Then comes the logical question: why all this noise about those old videos? why the existence of two programs running in series in the History Channel and Discovery Channel, causing the attraction of people inclined to think about “extraterrestrials”? Just and simple: to cover-up the experiments with hypersonic gliders.

I do not resist to share with you what Shelly Fagan published on June 19, 2019, in TheStartup webpage. She says:

“With the proposal for a Space Force, it seems now might be a convenient time to manufacture a threat from outside our solar system. The initial estimates for the program's funding of a "single-digit" billions of dollars have since been revised upward to $13 billion.

One must assume there is now some advantage to having the public believe these objects exist. More importantly, the military is hinting UFOs may be some potential unknown threat to national security despite official reports to the contrary.

It doesn’t help the group linked to these revelations are former government employees tied to Bigelow and AATIP.”
