With the launching of an Orion rocket this last Sunday, the Brazilian Alcantara Launching Center, in the Maranhao State, became once again operative, since a catastrophic disaster in 2007.
The Orion rocket, of 5.7 meters got a speed 4,700 kilometers per hour, reached an altitude of 93 kilometers and then fell down to the sea.
The rocket carried a number of instruments and it was an experimental flilght, fruit of a partnership between Brazil and Germany.
We congratulate Brazil for the achievement.
