AN EXEMPLARY CASE

After a period of silence, the AARO (All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office) studied a case that occurred in December 2018 in Sicily, Italy, and reached a conclusion, publishing its resolution on April 28, 2025, almost seven years later.

This may give us an idea of how long it took to study this case, or how much the AARO lacks personnel to resolve cases submitted to it quickly enough to reach a conclusion within a maximum period of one year.

But I want to emphasize that this is an exemplary case, if not perfect, as it meets all the external conditions that any "ufologist" would call ideal or better.

1) There are multiple witnesses, all military personnel, and therefore, one
might say, qualified.
2) The object was captured by an unmanned aerial vehicle equipped with
a shortwave infrared camera, technologically equipped for detection.
3) Although it is curious that the AARO does not indicate the time of the
observation, the photos obtained indicate that it was daytime. However, the
time of occurrence of a presumably strange event is very important.
Now, let's pay attention to two extremely important parameters:
a) the altitude reported for the case, and the altitude assessed after a
detailed study; and b) the estimated speed and the actual speed of
the object, where once again the phenomenon of parallax comes into play.

Please, go to AARO.mil and look for Case: “Mt.Etna Object” and read
carefully the report.
Our brief comment:
The AARO's work in this case deserves great praise,
but at the same time, we have a couple of observations.
-First, the time elapsed between the incident and its study and evaluation
is extremely long. Cases must be analyzed as soon as possible after
 they are reported.
-Second, a case is not resolved by "high confidence" or "moderate confidence."
It is resolved by definitively determining whether or not the phenomenon
is anomalous, or something conventional, and in this case, by
trying to determine who it belongs to.
